Say you've been on the Internet before the Web existed, and the young punks just won't believe you. But we had an Internet before web browsers. Before cable modems.

Maybe you remember 56K modems? Well, that K is a big deal. Some of us had 0.0375K modems... and we built applications on it. We ran services. We had social networking, and news, and chat, all without a lick of JavaScript.

TCP/IP? That's for newbies. Network Protocol or death!
