Roadmaps can be a somewhat controversial topic in Agile software development. The fact is, throughout history, geographic maps have been equally polarizing. In this talk, we will discuss what we can learn from cartographers and maps of the past, (including the Age of Discovery), to help us understand how to build a useful roadmap to effectively communicate the status of our software projects.
